Bill Bethea - Founder and Owner of PPH Baseball. Director of Pitching

Bill Bethea is the founder and driving force behind PPH Baseball—a program built on two decades of elite instruction, relentless passion, and a deep commitment to player development. With over 22 years of experience and more than 40,000 hours of private instruction, Bill has become one of the most trusted names in the New Jersey baseball community.

A former minor league pitcher in the Central Baseball League with the Ozark Ducks, Bill also served as an Associate Scout for the Houston Astros (2008–2009) and held the role of Pitching Coach at NJCU. His playing and coaching background gives him a rare perspective that blends professional-level insight with a grassroots approach to teaching.

Beyond the diamond, Bill spent five years in the Health and Fitness Industry as a Certified Personal Trainer, specializing in speed, power, and performance training. The fusion of his baseball acumen and strength training expertise laid the foundation for what PPH Baseball has become today—a premier development program known for results.

Bill’s track record speaks for itself. He’s trained thousands of athletes, helped players move on to the next level, and built a thriving baseball business rooted in discipline, growth, and love for the game.

Dan Intili - Director of Hitting. Founder of LongBall Army. Georgian Court University Assistant Coach.

With a rich background in baseball and an impressive track record, Dan brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our coaching staff. During his high school years, Dan showcased his skills as a standout catcher for the Hoboken Skyliners, leaving a lasting impression at St. John Vianney. His dedication to the sport earned him a spot in the Junior Olympics in 2004, where he competed at the highest level.

Joining our team in 2006, Dan has been a consistent and valuable presence ever since. He excelled in college, playing baseball at both Middlesex County College and Raritan Valley. In addition to his coaching role, Dan is our resident guru when it comes to bats. If you're looking for the perfect bat, Dan is the go-to person who can source anything you need.

Dan's expertise in hitting and swing training is unparalleled. His deep understanding of the mechanics and nuances of the game allows him to elevate players' skills to new heights. Dan's guidance has led to countless championships as the head coach of various PPH Travel Teams, showcasing his ability to develop winning teams.

Furthermore, Dan's commitment to baseball extends beyond coaching. He serves as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Bloomfield College, where he shares his knowledge and passion with aspiring college players. With Dan's extensive experience and exceptional coaching abilities, players can expect to receive top-notch instruction and guidance to maximize their potential in both hitting and catching.

Perry Quartuccio – Director of Player Development, Lead Pitching Instructor

Coach Perry brings a dynamic and electric vibe to our baseball academy. As a former D3 college pitcher at Montclair State University, Perry knows the ins and outs of the game. But what sets him apart is his holistic approach to player development—blending advanced pitching knowledge with deep expertise in the mental side of baseball. He holds a degree in psychology with a concentration in sports, making him a trusted resource for building mental toughness and competitive confidence.

Perry is also the author of Reaching Home Plate, a book he wrote during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—proof of his commitment to helping young athletes grow, even in uncertain times. His work goes beyond the field; he's the co-host of Ball 5, a baseball lifestyle podcast that brings together culture, competition, and comedy while featuring MLB guests and insightful conversations that reach thousands of players and fans across the country.

Coach Perry’s ability to connect with athletes, meet them where they are, and help them level up—on the mound and in life—makes him one of the most impactful voices in the PPH program.

Manny Branco - Catching & Hitting Coach 

Coach Manny brings unmatched energy, passion, and presence to the PPH staff. A former Division 1 catcher at Saint Peter’s University, Manny understands the demands of high-level baseball and how to prepare athletes for it—physically and mentally.

He’s a well-respected catching and hitting coach with a unique ability to connect with players of all ages. Whether he’s working one-on-one or leading a group session, Manny creates an upbeat, focused learning environment where players feel supported and challenged.

Manny is known around the facility for bringing the juice every session. With his competitive mindset and love for the game, he’s become a key leader in player development at PPH—especially behind the dish and in the batter’s box.

Alex Jenkins – Pitching Instructor

Alex is a force on the mound and a rising star in the coaching game. As a standout pitcher for Rutgers University Club Baseball, he posted a dominant 7–1 record with a 2.01 ERA his senior year, leading his team to their first regional playoff appearance in program history. Along the way, he earned both Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week honors—proof of his impact every time he stepped on the field.

But what makes Alex a special coach is his ability to translate that success into teachable moments for younger pitchers. He breaks the game down in a way that’s easy to understand but never watered down. Whether it’s refining a throwing program, tightening up mechanics, or developing pitch sequences, Alex brings knowledge, focus, and a calm intensity that players feed off. He’s the kind of coach that makes pitchers believe in themselves—and then helps them prove it.

 

Joe Colucci – Head Strength Coach

Coach Joe Colucci is a high-energy, detail-oriented instructor with a deep passion for player development, team culture, and championship-level execution. He currently coaches at NCAA Division II Georgian Court University and serves as the head coach of the Shelter Island Bucks in the prestigious Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League.

A former shortstop, utility player, and occasional catcher, Joe began his collegiate playing career at Emerson College, earning All-Conference honors, before transferring to Milligan University on a full athletic scholarship. There, he completed his Master of Arts in Coaching and Sport Management—laying the foundation for a future in high-level coaching.

Joe’s resume includes a breakout summer with the Westfield Starfires in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, where he helped lead the team to a record-breaking season and championship appearance. Known for creating a competitive, player-first environment, Joe blends technical instruction with cultural leadership.

He’s currently working toward his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential to further amplify his impact on performance, durability, and long-term development. Simply put—Coach Joe is the kind of leader who makes players better on and off the field.

Dave Butrico- Assistant Pitching Coordinator

Dave was a standout athlete in both Baseball and Wrestling in High School with a chance to do both in college. A severe knee injury cut both his college careers short however Dave has continued to coach for the last 10 years! Dave is a great addition to the staff and teaches all skills.

Steve Dattolo – Coach

Steve is one of those guys who just gets the game. A former club baseball player at Monmouth University, Steve brings a rare mix of competitive fire, baseball IQ, and laid-back confidence that players respect. He knows how to coach the right way—teaching fundamentals while keeping the environment positive, high-energy, and focused. Whether he’s leading a practice, helping out during games, or jumping into lessons, Steve is all-in on player development. He’s a steady presence on the staff and a big part of what makes our culture strong.

Cole Weingarten – Coach

Coach Cole is a legend around PPH—plain and simple. A former college player at St. Elizabeth University and now a volunteer coach at Georgian Court University, Cole is a guy who just connects. He’s the “chill coach” in the best way possible—laid back, positive, and completely locked in on his players. Cole has a gift for helping young athletes slow the game down, stay confident, and trust their stuff. If you're looking for a coach who gets it, and makes the game fun while helping you level up, Cole’s your guy.

Jared Foley – Coach

Coach Jared has come full circle with PPH. A longtime player in our program and now a leader on staff, Jared plays club baseball at Monmouth University and knows the game inside and out. His specialty? Infield work. Jared has a sharp eye for detail and a calm, cool teaching style that players gravitate toward. Whether he’s breaking down footwork or running a smooth defensive session, Jared brings maturity, knowledge, and a true love for the game. He’s proof that the PPH culture works—and now, he’s helping the next wave of players build theirs.

 

Morgan Rosa – Assistant Director of Marketing

Morgan is the heartbeat of our digital presence and a key player in growing the PPH brand. A current college student at Monmouth University, Morgan brings a high-energy, high-output mindset to everything she touches. She speaks baseball fluently and understands what makes our players, coaches, and culture special. Whether it's behind the camera, editing content, or brainstorming new ideas to showcase our program, Morgan’s mission is simple: to spread the goodness of PPH through every social media outlet we touch.
