Bill Bethea - Founder and Owner of PPH Baseball. Director of Pitching

Bill is the owner of PPH.  He served as an associate Scout for the HOUSTON ASTROS in 2008/2009. Bill is the former pitching coach at NJCU as well as a former minor league player. He played professionally in the Central Baseball League (AA Independent) for the Ozark Ducks. He has been doing private baseball instruction for the last 20 years as well as instructing at various camps and clinics around the state. Bill has performed an astounding amount of private instruction, eclipsing 40,000 hours. He has also spent 5 years in the Health and Fitness Industry as a Certified Personal Trainer where he has trained athletes to develop speed and power. Bill’s idea to focus on combining his baseball knowledge and strength training expertise is the cornerstone of PPH BASEBALL.

Dan Intili - Director of Hitting. Founder of LongBall Army. St. Elizabeth University Assistant Coach.

With a rich background in baseball and an impressive track record, Dan brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our coaching staff. During his high school years, Dan showcased his skills as a standout catcher for the Hoboken Skyliners, leaving a lasting impression at St. John Vianney. His dedication to the sport earned him a spot in the Junior Olympics in 2004, where he competed at the highest level.

Joining our team in 2006, Dan has been a consistent and valuable presence ever since. He excelled in college, playing baseball at both Middlesex County College and Raritan Valley. In addition to his coaching role, Dan is our resident guru when it comes to bats. If you're looking for the perfect bat, Dan is the go-to person who can source anything you need.

Dan's expertise in hitting and swing training is unparalleled. His deep understanding of the mechanics and nuances of the game allows him to elevate players' skills to new heights. Dan's guidance has led to countless championships as the head coach of various PPH Travel Teams, showcasing his ability to develop winning teams.

Furthermore, Dan's commitment to baseball extends beyond coaching. He serves as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Bloomfield College, where he shares his knowledge and passion with aspiring college players. With Dan's extensive experience and exceptional coaching abilities, players can expect to receive top-notch instruction and guidance to maximize their potential in both hitting and catching.

Don Walsh

Coach Donny brings a wealth of experience and a formidable reputation as a hitting specialist to our baseball academy. As a former college baseball player at Post University, Don made a significant impact during his time there, becoming the home run champion before his record was recently broken. His ability to hit the ball far and his deep understanding of the mechanics and techniques of hitting make him a sought-after instructor.

Don's expertise lies in teaching hitters how to maximize their power and technique at the plate. His extensive experience as a current professional slow-pitch softball player adds a unique perspective to his coaching approach. With Don's guidance, players can expect to develop into stud hitters, honing their skills to hit the ball with precision and power.

Aside from his impressive resume, Don creates a positive and enjoyable atmosphere, making each session a memorable experience. With Don Walsh as their instructor, players are not only guaranteed to improve their hitting abilities but also have a blast along the way. 

Dave Butrico- Assistant Pitching Coordinator

Dave was a standout athlete in both Baseball and Wrestling in High School with a chance to do both in college. A severe knee injury cut both his college careers short however Dave has continued to coach for the last 10 years! Dave is a great addition to the staff and teaches all skills.

Frank Bilancio

Frank was a former standout player at Burlington County College, who continued his career at Division 2 St. Edwards in Texas. Frank's career was cut short due to injury but has been coaching with PPH since his days at Burlington CC. Frank brings a great spirit and expertise along with great humor and knowledge to the staff! Frank helps with clinics, lessons and team training!

Perry Quartuccio- Director of Player Development, Founder/Owner of Coach Perry LLC

Coach Perry brings a dynamic and electric vibe to our baseball academy. As a former D3 college baseball pitcher at Montclair State University, Perry knows the ins and outs of the game. However, his expertise extends beyond the physical aspect of baseball. Perry graduated with a degree in psychology, specializing in sports, making him an expert in the mental game.

Notably, Perry authored the first book, "Reaching Home Plate," during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating his resilience and passion for the sport. With his exceptional ability to connect with players and his in-depth understanding of the psychological aspect of the game, Coach Perry is the go-to coach for enhancing players' mental toughness and performance.

Anthony Brocato

Coach Ant, a current professional baseball player for the Washington Wild Things, is a valuable addition to our coaching staff. With experience as a D1 college baseball outfielder at St. John's University, Anthony has honed his skills on and off the field. His professional approach to teaching, coupled with his ability to work effectively with kids, makes him an excellent mentor for aspiring players.

Anthony's expertise lies in strength training and hitting. Having excelled in these areas throughout his career, he possesses invaluable knowledge that he eagerly shares with our academy's players. Whether it's refining their swing or building their physical strength, Anthony Brocato is committed to helping players achieve their full potential.

Anthony Gambardella

“Coach Gambo”  is an exceptional coach renowned for his ability to connect with kids and foster their love for the game. With an enthusiastic style of teaching, he brings an infectious energy to the baseball academy. As the National Scouting Coordinator - Northeast at Perfect Game USA, Anthony's expertise and extensive experience in talent evaluation are unparalleled.

His passion for the sport and his dedication to the development of young players make Anthony Gambardella an ideal mentor for aspiring baseball stars. With his guidance, players will not only improve their skills but also gain a deeper appreciation for the game.

Cory Commer

Cory’s impressive background in baseball and his passion for the sport make him an invaluable asset to our coaching staff. As a former assistant baseball coach at D1 St. Peter's University and a production assistant at MLB Network, Cory has a ton of experience in the game. His deep understanding of the sport, coupled with his eagerness to learn and grow, creates an engaging and enriching learning environment for our players.

Cory's commitment to his own development and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in baseball coaching ensures that he can provide players with the most relevant and effective training methods. With his expertise and dedication, Coach Cory helps our players develop their skills and reach new heights in the game.

Bobby Jenkins- Director of Marketing

Bobby Jenkins, the founder of Around the Diamond, is a multifaceted coach with a passion for baseball that extends beyond the field. As a social media wizard and video editing legend, Bobby takes our baseball academy's online presence to the next level. His ability to capture and showcase the excitement of the game helps promote our academy and inspire young players.

With his infectious enthusiasm and love for baseball, Bobby thrives in working camps, providing lessons, and capturing content for our social media pages. He is dedicated to spreading the joy of the game and ensuring that our academy's activities are shared with a wider audience. Bobby’s commitment to creating engaging content and fostering a love for baseball sets our academy apart.

Cody Burnham

Cody is an accomplished baseball coach with a passion for the game and a proven track record of success. He began his journey in baseball as a four-year varsity player at East Brunswick High School, where his dedication and skill set him apart from his peers. Continuing his baseball career at the University of New Orleans as a Division 1 pitcher, Cody showcased his talent and commitment to the sport.
Driven to excel, Cody transferred to Florida State College at Jacksonville, where he achieved an impressive 1.87 ERA, ranking him as the second-best in the country at the time. During his final Two college years, he took on the role of a two-way starter and captain for the NAIA Stratford University Cardinals, demonstrating his versatility and leadership on and off the field. Not only did he excel on the mound as a pitcher, but he also showcased his abilities as a first baseman. Cody's experience as a player, coupled with his strong work ethic and extensive knowledge of the game, have made him an exceptional coach.
